Add cold water and salt.
Melt 1/2 stick margarine. Add milk and flour and stir until creamy.
Add cheese. Heat until cheese is melting. Heat until cheese is melted.
Put cabbage in a 9x13 dish. Add salt and pepper. Pour cheese sauce over cabbage.
Crush 1 pkg of Club crackers until firm. Melt 1 stick margarine and pour over crackers. Mix well. Sprinkle over cabbage.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until top is brown.

Add the salt; boil 5 minutes, drain dry.
In the melted oleo, add flour and stir well.

Cook cabbage in boiling, salted water for 7 minutes; save 3/4 cup water.
Make white sauce with margarine, flour, water and milk.
In buttered casserole, put layer of cabbage, layer white sauce, 1/2 of cheese; repeat.
Melt 2 tablespoons margarine with 1/2 cup bread crumbs; top casserole.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.

While cabbage is cooking about 7 to 8 minutes in boiling water to cover, prepare the white sauce.
Melt butter; add flour and seasonings.
Blend thoroughly.
Stir in milk gradually.
Cook until thickened.

Place cabbage in a greased 2-quart casserole; set aside.
In a saucepan, heat oil over medium heat.
Stir in flour, salt and pepper; cook until bubbly.
Gradually stir in milk; cook and stir until thickened.
Fold in cheese.
Pour over cabbage.
Combine bread crumbs and butter; sprinkle on top.
Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes or until bubbly.
Serve immediately. Yield: 4 to 6 servings.
