Scalloped Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head cabbage (about 1 1/2 lb.)
    1 c. white sauce
    1/2 c. cheese grated or cut into small pieces
    buttered bread crumbs
Preparation
    Cook the pieces of cabbage in boiling salt water for 5 to 7 minutes.
    Drain the water from cabbage.
    In buttered baking dish, layer cabbage and white sauce.
    Put bread crumbs on top and dot with butter.
    Top with cheese.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until crumbs are brown.
    Serves 6.
