Scalloped Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
    1 medium coarsely chopped cabbage
    1 green pepper, chopped fine
    1 (8 oz.) shredded cheese, divided
    1/2 lb. bacon
Preparation
    Cook cabbage in small amount of water until crisp, not tender. Cook bacon and reserve drippings.
    Starting with cabbage, layer cabbage, green pepper, bacon and cheese.
    Pour White Sauce over layers and top with bread crumbs.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
