Our oldest son was engaged to an English girl for some time and she gave me this recipe.
The English do like their tomatoes for breakfast.
She also gave me a recipe for Yorkshire Pudding, but for the life of me, I have never been able to make them as light as she did.

Crock Pot Curried Fruit

Drain all fruit and gently combine in crock pot.
Melt the butter and, in a small bowl, stir in the brown sugar and curry powder until well mixed.
Pour mixture over the fruit mixture in the crock pot and stir gently.
Cover and cook on high setting about 2 1/2 hours.
Mix the cornstarch in the cold water and stir it into the fruit mixture.
Cook uncovered on high heat 30 minutes longer, or until the fruit mixture is slightly thickened.

Curried Fruit Bake

Cut and drain fruit.
Combine sugar, cornstarch and curry powder.
Add oleo to fruit and sugar mixture. Mix fruit lightly. Turn into buttered casserole. Bake 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Serve warm.

Hawaiian-Style Hot Curried Fruit

Drain fruits (reserve 6 tablespoons of juice) and put in buttered glass baking dish.
Cut and arrange bananas on top. Combine and mix together the brown sugar, cornstarch and curry powder.
Add fruit juice and butter.
Pour mixture over fruits. Bake, uncovered, for 40 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
Makes 6 servings.

Pour into 8-inch square baking dish.

Place fruit in buttered casserole dish (9 x 13-inch).
Sprinkle brown sugar over fruit.
Mix together butter and curry.
Dribble over fruit.

Ham Slice With Curried Fruit

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F.
Drain all fruit; RESERVE all liquid.
Cut each ham slice in half and layer in baking pan.
Pour 1/2 of reserved fruit liquid over ham.
Bake in 350\u00b0F oven for 20 minutes, basting occasionally.
Meanwhile melt margarine in saucepan; stir in brown sugar, the remaining reserved fruit liquid and the curry powder.
Add fruit to mixture, cover and cook over very low heat for 15 minutes or until ham is ready, stirring occasionally.
Transfer ham to serving platter; spoon fruit mixture over ham.

Drain and save juices from pineapple, peaches, pecans, raisins, pears and apricots or any type fruit.
Put in casserole. Cook butter, brown sugar, curry powder, sherry and juice in top of double boiler and stir until thick.
Pour over fruit.

Melt butter, sugar and curry together in microwave.
Spoon over fruit. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.

Fruit Salad Plate

Prepare Curried Cottage Cheese and Lemonade Dressing.
Have all the ingredients, except banana, chilled.
Just before serving, slice banana and dip slices into fruit juice or syrup to prevent darkening.
Arrange fruit on lettuce leaves, with Curried Cottage Cheese in center of platter.
Serve Lemonade Dressing on side or drizzle over fruit.
