If you prefer the dip not be salty, first rinse the dried beef & dry, prior to chopping it.
Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
Refrigerate a few hours. However, it is better if it sits over night.

Make a boat out of a loaf of rye bread and fill with dip.
Use rye bread to dip with.

Cut up the bread you removed for dipping.

Add the onions and sherry mixture. Stir well.
