Place lima beans in casserole.
Brown hamburger and onion in skillet.
Drain off grease and add tomato sauce and liquid from the beans.
Sweeten with brown sugar to taste.
Simmer for about 15 minutes.
Pour over lima beans and bake at 350\u00b0 for one hour or less.
Wash the lima beans. In a large kettle, cover the beans with plenty of water. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and cover for 1 hour.
Lightly fry the bacon (leave soft).
Discard the grease. In a large roaster, add drained lima beans and the remaining ingredients. Cover with just enough water to barely touch the top of the beans.
Mix well.
Bake in a covered roaster at 300\u00b0 for 2 to 3 hours.
Mix occasionally, checking for doneness.
This makes a lot and can be cut in half.
Place cooked lima beans in casserole dish.
Combine remaining ingredients and mix well.
Pour over beans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Cook lima beans; drain and rinse.
In a small bowl mix remaining ingredients until well blended, add to the beans.
Pour into a buttered 2-quart baking dish.
Bake in a preheated oven for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
Combine beans with garlic salt in large saucepan.
Add enough water to cover.
Let stand overnight; drain.
Fry bacon in skillet until crisp.
Remove bacon to paper towels to drain.
Crumble. Add soup and brown sugar to bacon drippings in saucepan; mix well. Stir in onion, salt and pepper.
Combine soup mixture and bacon with lima beans in baking dish.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 3 to 4 hours or until beans are tender, stirring occasionally.
May simmer on stove top if preferred.
Yield:
10 servings.
Soak beans overnight.
Cook lima beans in salted water with cover until done.
Mix rest of ingredients and pour beans in covered casserole.
Place slice of ham or Canadian bacon on top, if desired.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.

Next morning, throw out water, put fresh water in pot (enough to cover) and cook until tender (not mushy).
Saute bacon and onion.
Save a little sugar and a few bacon pieces for top.
Save about 1/2 cup cooking water to use when combining cooked beans, fried bacon and onion.
Add soup.
Add 1/2 cup brown sugar.
Put in baking dish. Top with brown sugar and bacon pieces or strips.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown on top (about 1 hour).
Cook dry lima beans with ham until almost done.
Combine with sugar and catsup and bake for 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Boil lima beans, mustard and soda for 7 minutes.
Drain. Cover with cold water.
Add salt.
Boil for 10 minutes.
Drain. Mix cream and brown sugar.
Add to beans.
Bake in casserole at 275\u00b0 for 3 hours.
Cook beans in boiling salted water until tender; drain. Meanwhile, cook onion in butter until soft. Stir in remaining ingredients and blend. Stir in lima beans. Place in 1 1/2-quart casserole; bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
Soak dried lima beans in water overnight.
Cook beans until soft.
Drain.
Add remaining ingredients.
Cook on top of range until hot.
Drain canned lima beans and save liquid.
Cut bacon into small pieces.
Stir all ingredients together.
Add more bean liquid if needed.
Lay several more bacon strips across top of beans.
Bake 1 hour 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Rinse lima beans.
Add to boiling water and boil for about 2 minutes. Remove from stove. Cover pot and let it stand for about 1 hour.
Wash lima beans.
Soak overnight in an 8-quart pot.
Mostly full of water.
Cook in the same water for about 1 1/2 hours until the skin cracks when blown.

Water foams over very easily.)
Drain and add bacon, sugar, catsup and mustard.
Bake in 375\u00b0 oven for 1 hour or until tender.
Fry bacon crisp; remove from pan.
Fry onion and pepper in bacon fat until soft.
In large pot or casserole, combine lima beans, onion, pepper, chili sauce and sugar.
Add bacon.
Mix well and bake, uncovered, in a 300\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
Stir occasionally.
