Butter the bottom and sides of a glass casserole dish. Add the tomatoes. Chop up the crackers into pieces. Mix with tomatoes. Add the sugar and spices. Put dabs of butter on top. Bake, uncovered, until hot and bubbly, approximately 35 to 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Brown turkey or beef and onion and drain.
