Grape Nut Pudding

Butter a 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Soak Grape-nuts in hot water for a short while.
Put into the casserole.
Add the butter, milk, sugar, eggs, and vanilla; mix well.
Bake in a pan of water in a 350\u00b0F oven for 30-45 minutes, maybe more, depending on your oven.
Before taking out, check to see if it is firm in the middle.

Grammie Channing'S Grape-Nut Bread

Soak Grape-Nuts in 1 cup sweet milk and 1 cup sour milk for 15 minutes.
Add beaten egg. Sift dry ingredients together. Blend with Grape-Nuts mixture. Transfer to 1 large or 2 small greased loaf pans.
Bake 1 hour in a 350\u00b0 oven. Let stand 1 hour and 20 minutes before cutting. Great for toast.

Grape-Nut Pudding

Cook Grape-Nuts and milk in a double boiler for 15 minutes. In a baking dish, combine the sugar, eggs and butter.
Beat together.
Pour in hot Grape-Nut and milk mixture.
Stir until blended.
Add vanilla.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.

Grape-Nut Bread

Soak Grape-Nuts in buttermilk for an hour. Beat eggs; blend in sugar and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients alternately with Grape-Nut-buttermilk mixture to the beaten eggs and sugar. Add chopped nuts and raisins. Batter will be quite thick. Bake in a well-greased loaf pan for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.

Mix together the first 4 ingredients and let stand until cool. Stir the beaten egg into the Grape-Nut mixture.

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

Cheese Quiche (Grape-Nut)

Fry bacon until crisp.
Drain and crumble.
Reserve 1 tablespoon drippings.
Saute onion in reserved bacon drippings until tender and lightly browned.
Combine eggs, milk, cheese, salt, pepper and cereal.
Stir in onion and bacon.
Pour into pie shell.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Reduce temperature to 350\u00b0 and bake 10 to 15 minutes longer.
Serves 4.

Mix the Grape-Nuts and buttermilk together; let stand 1 hour. After Grape-Nuts and buttermilk have set for 1 hour, add to remaining ingredients.

Aunt B'S Grape-Nut Bread

Mix the first 3 ingredients and let sit for 1 hour.
Beat and add to remaining ingredients.
Mix well and put into 2 greased loaf pans and bake at 350\u00b0 for 35-40 min.

Grape Nut Pudding

Pour Grape-Nuts into scalded milk and allow to stand in warm place for 10 minutes.
Beat eggs and sugar together; stir into cooled Grape-Nuts.
Add salt and vanilla.
Pour into casserole dish.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes.

Aunt Amy'S Cookies

Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt set aside. Cream shortening and sugars, until light and fluffy. Stir in egg, vanilla, Grape-Nut Flakes and oatmeal.
Stir together well. Stir in flour mixture. Arrange by teaspoons on buttered cookie sheet. Flatten with a knife or fork dipped in cold water. For very delicate cookies, flatten until almost paper-thin.

Memere Bernard'S Grape Nut Pudding

Heat milk and Grape-Nuts.
Combine sugar, salt and eggs.
Add Grape-Nuts/milk mixture and vanilla.
Pour into buttered ovenproof dish.
Place dish into another pan with 1-inch of water in the bottom and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour, checking after 3/4 of an hour.

Grape-Nut Custard

Beat eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla.
Place Grape-Nuts in bottom of 1-quart casserole dish or deep pie plate.
Pour mixture over Grape-Nuts.
Place casserole dish or deep pie plate in pan of water (water halfway up dish).
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.

Grape-Nut Pudding

Soak Grape-Nuts in boiling water for 10 minutes.
Add milk, sugar, cinnamon and salt to Grape-Nuts mixture.
Beat eggs until light.
Blend into pudding mixture.
Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool on rack.

Grape-Nut Bread

Put Grape-Nuts in mixing bowl and pour sour milk over Grape-Nuts; let stand 1/2 hour.
Then add your sugar and egg; stir.
Next add your flour, salt, soda and baking powder to mixture. Bake in 350\u00b0 oven about 40 minutes or until tested with toothpick and it comes out done. I have had this recipe since 1928.

Grape-Nut Pudding(Microwave)

Scald milk in 2-quart microproof bowl for 5 to 5 1/2 minutes on High (max power). Add Grape-Nuts. Let stand 5 to 7 minutes to soften Grape-Nuts. Add beaten eggs and sugar.

Aunt Vi'S Grape-Nut Custard

Combine Grape-Nuts and milk in saucepan.
Bring to a slight boil.
Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla in Corning dish until smooth. Mix with warm Grape-Nuts and milk.
Bake in pan of hot water for 1 hour at 350\u00b0 until a silver knife inserted comes out clean.

Mother'S Grape-Nut Pie

Soak Grape-Nuts in water; set aside.
Beat eggs; add sugar, Karo, butter and flavoring.
Add soaked Grape-Nuts.
Pour in unbaked shell at 350\u00b0.
