Butter a 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Soak Grape-nuts in hot water for a short while.
Put into the casserole.
Add the butter, milk, sugar, eggs, and vanilla; mix well.
Bake in a pan of water in a 350\u00b0F oven for 30-45 minutes, maybe more, depending on your oven.
Before taking out, check to see if it is firm in the middle.

Add dry ingredients alternately with Grape-Nut-buttermilk mixture to the beaten eggs and sugar. Add chopped nuts and raisins. Batter will be quite thick. Bake in a well-greased loaf pan for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
Mix together the first 4 ingredients and let stand until cool. Stir the beaten egg into the Grape-Nut mixture.
Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

Drain and crumble.
Reserve 1 tablespoon drippings.
Saute onion in reserved bacon drippings until tender and lightly browned.
Combine eggs, milk, cheese, salt, pepper and cereal.

Pour Grape-Nuts into scalded milk and allow to stand in warm place for 10 minutes.
Beat eggs and sugar together; stir into cooled Grape-Nuts.
