Cheese Quiche (Grape-Nut) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 bacon slices
    1 c. thinly sliced onion
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 3/4 c. milk
    3/4 c. shredded Swiss cheese
    1 tsp. salt
    1 dash pepper
    1/3 c. Post Grape-Nuts cereal
    1 lightly baked 9-inch pie shell
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp.
    Drain and crumble.
    Reserve 1 tablespoon drippings.
    Saute onion in reserved bacon drippings until tender and lightly browned.
    Combine eggs, milk, cheese, salt, pepper and cereal.
    Stir in onion and bacon.
    Pour into pie shell.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Reduce temperature to 350\u00b0 and bake 10 to 15 minutes longer.
    Serves 4.
