Soak 2 pounds of yellow-eye beans overnight.
Parboil beans until the skin peels
Cover beans with water, let soak overnight.
Drain.
Place beans in pot on stove, cover with water and simmer until skins split (approximately 30 minutes).
Save water.
Put beans, water and all the other ingredients listed into oven safe casserole or bean crock and bake at 325oF until beans are tender and have turned a deep brown (at least 3 hours).
Stir occasionally.
I use yellow eye beans, Jacob's cattle beans or navy beans in this recipe.
Wash and pick over beans; cover with cold water.
Add soda and soak overnight.
Next morning, rinse beans and parboil in fresh water until skins wrinkle.
Drain off bean water and retain. Place whole onion in bottom of bean pot.
Add beans, maple syrup and mustard.
Score pork and place on top of beans and add bean water; cover.
Cook in slow oven of 325\u00b0 for 8 hours.
Check periodically and add bean water as needed.
For the last hour, cook uncovered, so pork will brown.
Parboil beans in an 8-quart kettle
Wash beans.
Soak beans overnight or parboil.
Cook at 325\u00b0 for 5 to 6 hours.
Serves 125 people.
Wash dry beans.
Cover with cold water.
Let stand 12 to 18 hours in cool place.
Drain beans.
Cover with boiling water. Boil 3 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Let stand 10 minutes.
Drain. Put about 1 cup beans in hot jar.
Add small piece of ham or pork. Fill jar about 3/4 full with beans.
Add tomato sauce to within 1-inch of top.
Process pints 65 minutes, quarts 75 minutes at 10 pounds pressure.
Wash beans, then cover with water.
Soak beans overnight. Drain.
Brown salt pork in pressure cooker.
Add chopped onion and stir.
Add beans, ketchup, honey and dry mustard, brown sugar, salt and pepper and water.
Cover.
Set control at 15 pounds pressure about 20 to 25 minutes after pressure regulator jiggles. Reduce pressure normally.
Soak the beans overnight.
Cook until the skins pull back. Let the beans stand one hour in the liquid.
Drain and place beans in a crock-pot.
Combine all other ingredients and mix.
Cover and cook on low heat for 10 to 12 hours or cook on high for 4 to 6 hours.
The best method is to cook on high for 3 hours and then lower temperature.
Stir occasionally.
Soak beans all night in water.
Cover with water in morning. Bake in oven at 350\u00b0 for 2 hours, then add salt, pepper and molasses.
Place bacon on top and bake 3 to 4 hours or until soft. Add water as needed.
Wash beans, cover with cold water.
Add soda and soak overnight.
Soak beans for about 3 hours or more.
Put all ingredients in 6-quart pressure cooker.
Mix well.
At 10 pound pressure, bring pressure up, then time it 1 hour.
Turn heat down about halfway to keep a steady pressure.
Let pressure drop on its own.
Cover beans and baking soda with water and boil for about 2 hours.
Add mustard, sugar, pepper and salt.
Slice one small piece salt pork to the rind and place in center of the beans which have been placed in a 2 to 3-quart baking dish.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for about 2 hours until soft.
Add water from time to time to prevent drying out.
Cover beans with water and let soak overnight.
Drain and cover with water and simmer them long and slowly.
Place a few beans in a spoon and blow on them.
If the skins burst, they are sufficiently cooked.
Drain and add ingredients.
Put in crock-pot 6 to 8 hours on high.
If in oven, bake at 250\u00b0.
Drain off water from beans and add fresh water with 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
Simmer until beans are tender.
Drain off soda water and add fresh water to cover with remaining ingredients.
Simmer for 20 minutes to 1/2 hour.
Bake in bean pot or roaster at 375\u00b0 for 4 hours, covered, then let brown.
Add water, if needed, and stir every 1/2 hour.

Wash the yellow eyed beans in cold water.
Rinse
Brown sausage and chopped onion and drain.
Pour into slow cooker.
Add drained green, lima and yellow wax beans, then add kidney and pork and beans with liquid.
Add mustard, brown sugar and tomato sauce.
Simmer until ready.
Drain lima or yellow butter beans and kidney beans.
Fry bacon very crisp.
Brown ground turkey and onion in the bacon fat until soft.
Mix all ingredients and bake for 1 hour at 325\u00b0 or put in a crock-pot and cook for 5 or 6 hours on high.
Serves 10 to 12.
Mix all ingredients together.
Place in 3-quart covered casserole.
Bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
Soak beans, onion and cut up salt pork overnight.
In the morning, parboil for about 1 hour.
Do not change liquid.
Put in covered 2-quart casserole dish and add all other ingredients.
Add water to cover beans totally.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 30 to 60 minutes. Turn down to 220\u00b0 and bake 6 to 7 hours, adding water if necessary.
Beans should not be dry.
Liquid is very tasty.
