A Kiwi Warrior Burger For The Barbie - Barbecue!

Combine all the patty ingredients and form into 6 patties of equal size with wet hands.
Make the Warrior topping by combining the whipped cream with the sour cream, stirring in the rest of the ingredients and mixing well. Keep refrigerated until needed.
Barbecue the patties on an oiled grill for about 5 minutes per side, over a moderate heat.
Assemble the burgers by stacking on freshly toasted buns, the patties, lettuce, sweet cucumber pickle, sliced tomatoes and a dollop of Warrior topping.

Ranch Dressing Mix Plus

In a large mixing bowl, combine first 8 ingredients; mix well.
Store in airtight container in a cool dry place. YIELD: 3 cups mix (enough to make 24 batches of ranch salad dressing). For Ranch Salad Dressing: In a bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of mix with mayonnaise and buttermilk.
Refrigerate until serving.
For Thousand Island Dressing: Add chili sauce and pickle relish to 1 cup prepared ranch dressing.
For Cucumber Dressing: Add cucumber and celery seed to 1 cup of prepared ranch salad dressing.

Cheese Puffs With Cucumber Pickles

Beat the egg whites in medium bowl with electric mixer until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the cheese, prosciutto, flour and paprika.
Flour your hands and shape the mixture into 12 small balls.
Pour oil into a skillet to a depth of 1/4 inch. Heat until almost smoking. Fry puffs for a couple of minutes until golden. Transfer to a wire rack to drain.
Quickly place a cheese puff and a cucumber pickle on each skewer and serve while puffs are hot.

Creamy Cucumber Gelatin Salad

Pour the gelatin mix into a medium bowl, and stir in the boiling water. Set aside to cool slightly.
In a blender or large food processor, combine the cream cheese, salad dressing, cucumber, pickle, and onion. Process until fairly smooth. Stir into the gelatin mixture. Pour into a mold, or leave in the bowl. Refrigerate for 3 hours, or until firm.

Easy Cucumber Pickle *

Add washed and sliced cucumbers to lime and water mixture and soak overnight.
Then pour off this water, add fresh water to cover cucumbers and allow to soak for 3 hours.
Pour off this water and pour sugar and vinegar over cucumbers.
Bring to a boil and boil for 35 minutes.
Add amount of pickle spice desired, either loose or tied in a cloth.
Put in warm jars and seal.

Soak cucumbers in

Add the pimiento, parsley, chives or green onion and cucumber pickle to the French dressing.
Serve over cold cooked green beans.

Pickled Cucumber Salad

Slice cucumber (pickle style). Slice tomatoes and onion into small pieces. Combine all the ingredients. Allow to set for awhile. Refrigerate and serve.

Original English One Hour Cucumber Pickle

Scrub cucmber under cold running water and cut into very thin slices. (a mandolin works well).
Rough crack peppercorns.
Combine all ingredients in a bowl, making sure cucumber slices are covered with liquid.
Cover with plastic wrap and refridgerate for one hour.
Serve chilled.

Composed Potato, Eggs And Cucumber Salad With Yogurt Herb Dressing

For the herb-yogurt dressing, mix yogurt, sour cream and mayonnaise. Season and add chopped herbs.
For cucumber salad, place cucumber in a bowl, season and sprinkle with sugar. Add lemon juice and oil.
Meanwhile, cook potatoes in boiling salted water for 20 mins. Drain potatoes and arrange on plates with hard-boiled eggs. Drizzle with yogurt dressing, sprinkle with reserved herbs and garnish with basil leaves. Serve with cucumber salad.

Cucumber Pickle

Soak cucumbers 12 to 14 hours in lime. Wash and soak 4 hours in salt water.
Wash and soak in cold water for 2 hours. Put cucumbers in hot alum water. Let boil. Wash in boiling water.

Cucumber Salad Ring

Dissolve jello in hot water.
Add cream cheese, salad dressing, horseradish and salt.
Beat until smooth and add lemon juice. Chill until partially set.
Stir in cucumber and onions.
Put in mold.
Chill.

Crisp Cucumber Pickle

Cover cucumbers with water and pickle lime.
Let stand 12

Seafood-Cucumber Filling

Combine all ingredients and chill thoroughly.
Yields about 1 1/2 cups.
Double the recipe for a tea for 40 to 50.

Salmon Loaf With Cucumber-Dill Sauce

For the Salmon Loaf:
Combine salmon, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, green pepper, egg, lemon juice, celery salt, and pepper; mix well.
Press mixture into an 8x5x3-inch loaf pan coated with cooking spray.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 45--50 minutes, or until done. Remove from oven and let stand 3 minutes.
Remove loaf from pan. Serve with Cucumber-Dill Sauce.
For Cucumber-Dill Sauce:
Combine all ingredients; mix well. Cover sauce, and chill 30 minutes; stir before serving.

Be careful of your selection.
Do not choose too young and take only such as have been raised in a good moral atmosphere. Some insist on keeping them in a pickle, while others keep them in hot water.
This only makes them sour, hard and sometimes bitter. Even poor varieties may be made sweet, tender and good by garnishing them with patience.
