Cucumber Pickle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    14 lb. cucumbers, sliced thin
    4 c. lime
    4 c. salt water
    cold water
    hot alum water (1/2 lb.)
    1 gal. vinegar
    8 lb. sugar
    1 box pickle spice
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers 12 to 14 hours in lime. Wash and soak 4 hours in salt water.
    Wash and soak in cold water for 2 hours. Put cucumbers in hot alum water. Let boil. Wash in boiling water.
