Salisbury Steak.
In a large bowl
to make the oven baked sweet potato fries, preheat oven to 400\u00b0F
Season steak with your favorite seasonings.
Dredge steak in flour.
Heat a Teflon skillet with the shortening.
Brown cut up pieces for steaks.
Place in Dutch oven. Pour beef broth over steak.
Bake in oven at 350\u00b0 until tender.
Place chuck steak on large sheet of foil in baking pan.
Combine the mushroom and onion soups and spread over meat.
Quarter the potatoes and carrots and arrange around steak.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Then wrap tightly in the foil and bake in a preheated 450 degree oven for 1 hour.
Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
Cut round steak into serving-size pieces. Heat a skillet with 2 tablespoons oil until hot.
Put flour on a plate.
One at a time, flour round steaks and put immediately into hot skillet without crowding.
Brown quickly on one side, then quickly on the other, adding 1 tablespoon of oil as needed.
Put browned steaks into roaster or heatproof heavy casserole.
Place foil in roasting pan, enough to wrap over steak, potatoes and carrots.
Place steak in pan.
Combine soups and pour over steak.
Add potatoes and carrots; wrap.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Sprinkle steak with sauce, pepper and small amount of salt. Roll in flour.
Brown each piece of steak in skillet with olive oil.
Have heat high enough to brown quickly.
Place in baking dish with 1/2 cup of water to cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour. This was one of Mama's old recipes.
Place steak on sheet of aluminum foil.
Top with soup mix and mushrooms.
Lightly close foil.
Place on cookie sheet.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Pour oil in Dutch oven.
Add steak and brown on both sides. Turn down on low heat.
Cover.
Cook for 1 hour until tender. Check during cooking and keep water enough to cover meat while cooking.
Use your favorite steak sauce, ketchup or barbecue sauce to make a thin gravy.
Cook rice to serve steak over.
Brown your hamburger meat.
Mix with all ingredients.
Bake in oven for about 30 minutes.
Cook some rice to put over it.

Brown Steaks in Skillet.
While steaks brown combine remaining indgredients in a bowl.
Transfer Steaks to a 13X9 baking dish.
Pour Sauce over meat.
Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Combine meat, Worcestershire, onion and steak seasoning.
Form 2 large
Combine ground beef, chopped onions, cracker crumbs, egg, horseradish, salt and pepper. Shape into patties.
Heat 2 tablespoons butter in skillet.
Cook patties till no longer pink inside - approx 8 minutes each side.
In separate pan, melt 3 tablespoons butter. Saute onion rings and mushrooms til tender.
Remove patties from pan.
Stir flour into pan, scraping bottom of pan. Add dash of salt and pepper. Cook 2 minutes. Stir in cream to form a thick paste.

Cook large package of salisbury steak according to directions. Stir in frozen vegetables.
Cook 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Place biscuits on top of mixture and cook until golden brown.

Makes 8 servings.
