Score edges of ham slice to prevent curling.
Place ham in glass baking dish.
Arrange yams over ham.

Cover loosely with plastic wrap.

Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile in a non-stick skillet; saute asparagus, yellow and red bell peppers in oil until tender. Add tomatoes and ham; heat thoroughly. Drain pasta, add to vegetable mixture. Stir in seasonings. Sprinkle with cheese.
