Butter one side of each slice of bread.
Assemble sandwich as follows:
First bread slice, butter side down.
One slice cheese.
Pork and sauerkraut.
Apple slice.
Sprinkle with brown sugar.
One slice of cheese.
Next slice of bread butter side up.
(Having the pork in the middle helps to keep the bread from getting soggy).
Grill as you would a grilled cheese making sure to cover with a lid as cooking.
Turn slow cooker to high.
Mix envelope of soup mix with 3/4 cup of hot tap water.
Pour this strong soup mix in the crock. Trim roast of external fat and cut it into large chunks.
Place in crock.
Rinse and drain sauerkraut twice.
Add to the crock.
Mix the brown sugar into the applesauce and pour over the pork and sauerkraut.
Cover and cook on high for about 5 hours or until the pork is fall-apart tender.

Place pork roast in crock pot.
Pour sauerkraut over pork roast.
Sprinkle the onion soup mix and brown sugar over the pork and sauerkraut.
Pour the water over everything.
Cook on low for 24 hours.
Serve over mashed potatoes.
Brown pork in skillet with oil, garlic and onion.
Do not overcook the garlic or onion.
In a separate saucepan, put sauerkraut, sugar and water.
Bring to a boil and cook down to 1/2 the amount.
Add caraway seed.
Combine sauerkraut with pork and simmer 40 minutes.
Do not allow to go dry.
Add wine and simmer 5 minutes; serve.
Place whole pork tenderloin into a slow cooker. Arrange potatoes around the pork; pour the sauerkraut and juice over the pork and potatoes. Add butter cubes, salt, and black pepper. Cook on Low until pork is tender, 8 to 10 hours. Add more water after 8 hours if mixture seems dry.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Rinse pork and place in large roasting pan.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
Cover with 1/3 of the sauerkraut.
Cover roasting pan and put in oven for 1 1/2 hours.
Remove from oven and add another 1/3 of sauerkraut.
Cover and put back in oven for another hour.
Remove from oven and add the remaining sauerkraut.
Cover and put back in oven for another hour.
Remove from oven and enjoy! Mashed potatoes are a must with this dish.

Saute chopped onion and garlic in shortening; add paprika and pepper.
Add pork and salt.
Steam until meat is well done, adding a small amount of water to prevent burning, about 1 1/2 hours. Rinse sauerkraut with cold water and add to pork.
Cook about 15 minutes or until kraut is tender.
Add sour cream and serve at once.
Best if served with tiny dumplings.

Bring sauerkraut and seasonings to a boil.
Add pork chops or spareribs.
Peel and cut into chunks the potatoes.
Add to pot. Cover and simmer 1/2 hour or until pork and potatoes are tender.

Cook meat, waterless, in heavy Dutch oven or in electric skillet on low until very tender.
Remove meat to plate.
Scrape brown drippings loose.
Add water, bouillon or broth and sauerkraut.
Cover and continue cooking.
Cut meat into bite-size pieces and add to sauerkraut with brown sugar and onion.
Cook 1 hour.
If necessary, add additional water/bouillon or broth.
Last 25 minutes add noodles.
Stir occasionally until noodles are tender.
Can be made with Polish or any sausage.
