Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Rinse sauerkraut and wring dry.
Heat margarine in a large skillet; saute onion and garlic until onion is tender.
Add kraut, cider, stock, apples, and juniper; season to taste with salt and pepper; bring to a boil.
Transfer to casserole dish; cover with lid or foil and bake at 350 degrees F.
for 35-40 minutes.
Brown chops in skillet.
Mix sauerkraut with meat juices in skillet.
Layer 1/2 sauerkraut and apples in casserole.
Arrange the pork chops over the top.
Layer remaining sauerkraut and apples.
Cover and bake 1 1/2 hours at 350\u00b0.
Heat oven to 450\u00b0F degrees.
Cut ribs into serving pieces.
Place in 13x9-inch pan; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Bake uncovered for 20 minutes.
Reduce oven to 350\u00b0F degrees.
Remove ribs; drain fat from pan.
In same pan, combine sauerkraut, sugar, apples, onion, and water.
Spread it all out evenly.
Put ribs on top; bake uncovered for 1 1/2 hrs, stirring occasionally.
Drain sauerkraut; rinse well in cold water.
Drain and set aside.
Saute onion slices in drippings.
Meanwhile, quarter and core the apple.
Cut in thin slices.
Saute 1 to 2 minutes with onion.
Add drained sauerkraut and brown sugar, gently mixing with a wooden spoon.
Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes over low heat.
Good with pork chops or Polish sausage.
Cut in large chunks and heat on top of sauerkraut.

Add oil to medium skillet. Over medium heat saute apples, onions and caraway seeds until onion turn opaque. About 10-12 minutes.
Dice sausage into 1/2 inch pieces and add to skillet. Stir well. Heat for 8 -10 minutes or until sausage is warm.
Drain sauerkraut well. Add sauerkraut and stir well. Cover and turn down heat to low.
Cook on low for 10 minutes. Stir to prevent burning. Serve hot with a little shot of mustard on the side. Enjoy.
In large nonstick skillet brown ribs in oil over heat.
Place in 3 1/2-4-quart slow cooker with potatoes, onion, sauerkraut and apples. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over.
Cook, covered, on Low 6-8 hours (or on for 3-4 hours).
