Using your favorite cut of steak, generously apply meat tenderizer to both sides of meat.

Cut the skirt steak into individual strips for serving. Add the garlic to the teriyaki sauce. In a re-sealable plastic bag, combine the steak and the sauce. Seal tightly and refrigerate to marinate overnight.
Preheat oven to broil OR preheat a barbecue grill.
When oven OR grill is ready, remove meat from bag and discard remaining marinade. Place meat on a broiler pan for the oven OR directly on the grill for the barbecue. Cook for about 5 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.

Mom'S Teriyaki Steak

1. In shallow pan, combine all ingredients except steak.

2. Add steak, turning to coat with marinade.

3. Cover and refrigerate at least 6 hours, turning occasionally.

4. About 20 minutes before serving, preheat broiler or grill.

5. With broiler, broil 5 minutes on each side or until medium rare. On grill, broil 5 minutes on high each side and then turn heat to low for 4-5 minutes on each side.

6. Slice diagonally across grain.

Grilled Teriyaki Steak

Mix all ingredients in a pan and marinate steak for approximately 2 hours (1 hour on each side) in refrigerator.
In a hot skillet over medium heat, grill steak approximately 10 minutes on each side until done and serve.

Easy Teriyaki Chicken

Slice chicken breasts and place in casserole dish. Pour bottle of teriyaki sauce over chicken. Cover dish with foil. Heat in oven for 30 minutes at 375*.

Remove meat from marinade; discard bag with marinade. Alternately thread steak, peppers, pineapple and shrimp (optional) onto skewers. Grill or broil kabobs for 4 to 6 minutes, until desired doneness, turning once and brushing with saved mixture. Makes 4 servings.

Combine 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce, 2 tablespoons pineapple juice and oil; pour over meat pieces in shallow glass dish. Refrigerate; marinate 1 hour, turning occasionally. Thread meat on skewers alternating with vegetables and pineapple chunks. Discard remaining marinade.
Grill 4 to 5 inches from heat, turning skewers and brushing with additional marinade, about 15 minutes or until desired doneness.
