Place ribs on broiler pan.
Sprinkle salt and pepper on ribs. Broil 5 to 7 minutes on both sides.
Remove ribs to crock-pot. Pour enough barbecue sauce over ribs just to cover ribs.

Place ribs in crock pot and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook on low all day-- 6-8 hours.
About an hour before supper time, drain all the liquid from the pot. Return ribs to pot and pour in the BBQ sauce. Simmer on low another hour.

Turn crock pot to low, cover and cook for 12 hours.
