This one of my favorite Christmas cookie recipes. Enjoy!!
This is sort of 3 recipes in 1, but it's
ookie crust.
Sprinkle salted Spanish peanuts evenly over ice cream
Mix cookies and melted butter well.
Press into cake pan.
Top with softened ice cream.
Refrigerate.
Mix together powdered sugar, milk, butter and chocolate chips.
Cook 8 minutes.
Add vanilla.
Cool and pour over ice cream.
Freeze.
Press Spanish peanuts onto dessert.
This is another really old menu.
My aunt, who later became head chef at the Memorial Union at the University of Wisconsin, gave me the salad and dessert recipes way back in the forties.
Crumble
cookies (best if cold) and reserve 1/2 cup for top. Melt

Mix\twith rest of cookies and pat into 9
x 13-inch pan.
Put 1/2 gallon softened ice cream over crust.
Top with 1 package Spanish peanuts.
Freeze.
In medium saucepan, stir in gelatine, 1 tablespoon sugar and salt.
Add milk blended with egg yolks.
Set over low heat and stir constantly for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in light cream or half and half and vanilla.
In separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff, gradually beat in 4 tablespoons sugar.
Fold egg white mixture into gelatine mixture, blending well.
Pour into individual dessert dishes and chill until firm.
Serves 4 to 6.
Melt butter and oil.
Fold in marshmallows.
When ingredients are melted, pour in peanuts and M&M's.
Pour over popcorn and press into an angel food cake pan.
Let cool.
Turn out on a plate.

Combine Oreos and 1/2 cup butter.
Pat into 9 x 13-inch pan and freeze.
Soften vanilla ice cream and spread over cookie mixture; sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups of Spanish peanuts.
Freeze.
Slightly soften ice cream; slice over crust.
Sprinkle with Spanish peanuts; freeze.
Melt chocolate chips and oleo.
Stir well and add powdered sugar and evaporated milk.
Cook slowly on medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring.
Boil 5 minutes, stirring. Cool well and pour over ice cream.
Spread with 1 cup Cool Whip. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs.
Keep frozen until 10 minutes before serving.
Prepare lime, strawberry and cherry Jell-o using 1 cup boiling water and 1/2 cup cold water. Pour into separate pans and chill until firm.
Heat 1 cup pineapple juice and 1/4 cup sugar to boiling; remove from heat and add lemon Jell-O powder. Stir until dissolved, then add 1/2 cup cold water. Chill until syrupy.
Prepare whipping cream and fold into syrupy lemon Jell-O. Transfer to large bowl.
Cut lime, strawberry and cherry Jell-O into cubes and gently fold into lemon mixture.
Chill until firm.
Mix dates, nuts and dry ingredients.
Add egg and mix.
Pour into oiled baking dish or pan. Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes or until firm.
Serve hot or cold with plain or whipped topping. Serves 6 to 8 people.
Very rich dessert.
Mix togeth first 3 ingredients plus 1/3 cup sugar; press into bottom of 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
bake 10 minute Allow to cool.
Cream together cream cheese, and remaining 1/3 cup sugar; fold in cool whip.
Spread onto cooled crust.
Dissolve Jello into hot pineapple juice.

Stir till slightly thickened. (Sometimes I have to refrigerate for a few minutes so its not real runny. You want it to spread on top of cream cheese mixture, not run down sides).
Pour over cream cheese layer.

Crumble oreos and set aside 1/2 cup.
Mix oreos with margarine and press into 13x9 pan bottom only.
Gently spread ice cream over the oreo crust.
Slightly heat hot fudge and pour over ice cream.
Don't get it too warm as it will melt the ice cream and ruin the dessert.
Just warm enough to pour comfortably.
Cover with the peanuts.
Spread the cool whip over the top.
Sprinkle with the left over oreo crumbs.
Freeze.
Take out 1/2 hour before serving time.
