Mix condensed milk, milk (I use low-fat), sugar and vanilla. Add alternately snow and milk mixture until you get the right consistency.
If you have any leftover, freeze it.
It doesn't get as icy as regular Snow Cream does in the freezer.
Wait til the second big snow because the first big snow has all the dirty stuff from the airplanes in it.
Put snow in a big pot. If you want chocolate, put coco* in your sugar.
About 1 tablespoon to a cup of sugar.
Put this on the snow and add enough cream to make it icy.
Put on your boots and run outside to where there is fresh snow.
Lightly scrape off the very top of the snow.
With a big cooking spoon, scoop up the snow into a large pan (we always used the old green enamel \"popcorn\" bowl).
Run back inside quickly, because you usually didn't even wear a coat, so the snow doesn't begin to melt!
Pour a little milk and sugar into the snow and stir until about the consistency of partially melted ice cream. Add a \"tad\" of vanilla and enjoy!
Don't eat too fast or it will give you a headache!

In a small saucepan, bring the sugar and water to a simmer, over low heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
Stir the espresso powder into the hot syrup until dissolved. Whisk in the vanilla and condensed milk and chill before using.
To serve, mound 2 cups of fresh clean snow or finely ground ice in each serving bowl. Drizzle with 1/4 cup coffee syrup and serve immediately.
Cook's Note: Coffee syrup will keep, covered, in the refrigerator for 1 week.
Gather fresh, clean snow in a large bowl or place a bowl outside after it starts to snow to catch it.
You will need the bowl to be very full.

Long ago when winter was long and cold my Great-Granddad made Snow Cream.
Mix milk, sugar and vanilla until desired sweetness. Add fluffy white snow.
Stir quickly until blended and thick.
Start with chilled bowl.
Beat eggs and sugar, adding cream gradually, until fluffy.
Add salt and vanilla.
Mix well.
Then add clean, white snow until thickness of ice cream.
Serve gently.
Chill a large empty bowl in the freezer.
Whisk milk and chocolate syrup together in a bowl until well mixed.
Spoon snow, 1 to 2 cups at a time, into the chilled bowl. Drizzle chocolate milk over snow and stir. Continue adding more snow and more chocolate milk until evenly combined.
Whisk milk, sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract together in a large bowl. Add snow to milk mixture, about 1 cup at a time, until ice cream is thickened. Freeze for 2 hours.
