Mix the first 7 ingredients together. Add the pecans, apples, coconut, raisins and pineapple. Pour into a large sheet pan (15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1). Bake 1 hour at 325\u00b0. While the cake is still hot, pour the glaze over it.

Prepare favorite white cake recipe or boxed cake mix and divide batter between 1 (8-inch) square pan and 1 (8-inch) round pan.

Mix all except brown sugar and 2 cups water with mixer on low until moistened.
Mix on high speed 2 minutes.
Bring brown sugar and 2 cups water to boil in a small saucepan.

Then pour the following syrup over the cake and let stand for two hours before removing cake from pan.

While cake is still hot, pour hot topping over cake in pan and let cool.
Combine oil and sugar together; add well beaten egg.
Beat until smooth.
Add salt and soda to flour, add flour mixture a little at a time.
Beat well after each addition.
Add vanilla, chopped apples and black walnuts.
Blend well.
Bake cake in a tube pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Just before cake is done, combine brown sugar, milk and margarine.
Bring to a boil; boil for 3 minutes.
Invert cake on plate and spoon topping over cake.
