Apple Dapple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. granulated sugar
    1 1/2 c. salad oil
    3 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. finely chopped apples
    nuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Cream sugar and oil; stir in eggs.
    Sift together flour and soda.
    Combine all ingredients and mix well.
    Pour batter in lightly greased cake pan and bake at 325\u00b0 for one hour or until done.
    Then pour the following syrup over the cake and let stand for two hours before removing cake from pan.
