Pineapple Appetizer

Drain and chill the can of pineapple or if using fresh pineapple, cut off peel and slice in thin slices then cut slices into wedges.
Combine sugar and nutmeg in a small serving bowl and place it in the centre of a serving plate or small tray.
Place pineapple chunks around the bowl and stick coloured picks into them, ready for guests to dip in the spiced sugar.

Bacon-Pineapple Appetizer

Soak ingredients for 2 to 3 hours.
Wrap pineapple in 1/2 slice bacon.
Microwave 1 minute, turning as needed, until done. Use lean bacon for best results.

Microwave jelly and mustard on High for 2 minutes, stirring twice to blend.
Cut Smok-Y-Links into 1/2-inch pieces.
Add pineapple and Smok-Y-Links to sauce.
Cover and microwave on High for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring twice during cooking.
Serve hot.

Soak pineapple chunks in creme de menthe for about an hour before dinner and chill in refrigerator.

Sweet-Sour Sausage Appetizer

Cut sausage into appetizer size pieces, about 1/2-inch.
Brown sausage in medium skillet; drain on paper towel.
Drain pineapple; reserve juice.
Combine brown sugar and cornstarch in medium saucepan.
Add soy sauce, vinegar and reserved pineapple juice; stir until well blended.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until clear and thick.
Add pineapple, green pepper and sausage; heat thoroughly.

in skillet put 2 tablespoons butter and brown sugar

Zucchini Pineapple

Peel zucchini and remove seeds from center.
Cut into chunks and place in a large kettle.
Add sugar and pineapple juice. Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes.
Pack into clean jars for canning.
Place filled jars in a canner of boiling water and process for 20 minutes.
Use in recipes calling for pineapple.

Appetizer Fruit Combo

Drain pineapple, reserving juice.
In bowl, combine pineapple chunks, melon balls and strawberries.
Combine pineapple juice, marmalade and orange liqueur.
Pour over fruits.
Stir.
Chill 1 to 2 hours.

Dissolve jello in hot water.
Stir in orange sherbet.
Mix in orange mandarin sections, crushed pineapple and marshmallows. Refrigerate mixture, stirring occasionally, until thick but not set.
Fold in whipped cream.
Refrigerate until set (1 to 2 hours).
Garnish with extra mandarin sections and/or mint leaves. Can also be served as a dessert.

Pineapple Cream Cheese

Blend cream cheese, sugar and pineapple together until smooth. Take 2 slices of white bread and strip off crust.
Smooth cream cheese mixture onto one slice of bread.
Make into sandwich.
Then cut into 4 halves.
Repeat until all mixture is gone.
Great appetizer.

Pineapple Cheese Ball(Appetizer)

Drain 1/2 juice of pineapple.
Combine all ingredients.
Form into ball.
Roll in walnuts.
Chill.
Make the day before so flavors combine.

Pineapple Bread(No Sugar)

Sift flour, soda and salt.
Combine egg, oil and vanilla.
Add to dry ingredients along with pineapple, stirring just until ingredients are moistened.
Fold in raisins.
Spread evenly in greased pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until done.
For easier slicing, store overnight in refrigerator before serving. Recipes makes 34 (1/4-inch) slices.
