Remove cartilage from crab meat.
Dissolve bouillon cube in water.
In 4-quart saucepan, cook onion in margarine or butter until tender.
Blend in flour and seasonings.
Add milk and bouillon gradually and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens enough to coat spoon.
Add crab meat; heat, but do not boil.
Garnish with parsley flakes before serving. Makes 6 servings.
Soup improves upon standing as flavors get a chance to blend, so this a good \"prepare ahead\" dish.
Brown beef in soup pot with bacon strips.
Add other ingredients, except frozen vegetables and crab meat.
Cook 3 hours or until meat is tender.
Add rest of ingredients and simmer covered until vegetables are done.
If you want it hotter, add a few dashes of Tabasco sauce, or have it available on serving.
Bring water and bouillon to boil, stirring often until bouillon is dissolved.
Add all ingredients except crab meat. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to simmer.
Add in fresh crab pieces with shell (pieces of crab body with crab meat still inside).
Allow to simmer until liquid is slightly reduced (about 1/2 hour) and stir frequently.
Add jumbo lump crab meat about 10 minutes before serving (do not break up the pieces).
Cook a beef soup bone for 1 hour for taste.
Take soup bone out and add all ingredients except crab meat.
Cook over medium heat for 30 to 45 minutes or until vegetables are done.
Then add crab meat and heat on medium heat for about 15 minutes.
Place whole tomatoes, water, lima beans, corn, sliced carrots, chopped onion, Old Bay seasoning, and beef broth, in a 4 quart pot. Heat to simmer, cover, and cook for 5 minutes.
Bring 1 gallon water to boil. Add crab claws and boil 6 minutes. Drain crab and set aside
Stir crabmeat (and crabs claws, if desired) into tomato and vegetable mixture. Cover and simmer 10-15 minutes longer. Serve hot.

Combine cheeses, milk, seasonings and sherry in fondue pot.
Set on low.
Stir until blended and smooth.
Add crab meat; heat, stirring occasionally, until hot and bubbly, 5 to 10 minutes.
Spear cubes of bread with a fondue fork and swirl with a figure-eight motion to coat.
(If fondue thickens while standing, stir in a little additional milk or sherry.)
Place the oil in a soup pot.
Add the carrots and onions. Cover the pot and cook the vegetables over low heat just until softened.
Add the broth, potatoes, tomatoes and Old Bay seasoning. Simmer just until the potatoes are tender, approximately 10 minutes.
Add the crabmeat and parsley and heat through.
If the crab meat is of Chesapeake Bay
Mix soup with milk.
Heat on medium heat, stirring constantly until lumps are gone.
Add butter, crab and Old Bay, stirring constantly.
Makes 3 to 4 small servings.
Can be doubled.
Remove all cartilage from crab meat.
In bowl, mix bread crumbs, egg, mayonnaise and seasonings.
Add crab meat; mix gently but thoroughly.
Shape into 6 cakes.
Cook in frying pan in just enough fat to prevent sticking, until brown.
Cook all vegetables together in water, barely enough to cover, and let simmer 1 hour.
In another pot, boil crabs very gently 1/2 hour.
Remove from water and cut into small pieces, shells and all.
Put into vegetables along with liquid in which the crabs were cooked. Add crab meat and legs.
Simmer gently 1 hour.
Warm a little water in a saucepan. Work butter and flour in and add cream, stirring carefully. Stir this mixture into crab soup.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Cook on medium until the soup thickens, about 15 - 20 minutes
I use the stems of the cauliflower and broccoli that was leftover from the broccoli and cauliflower salad to make the soup. Boil until tender; mash and remove any stems that are stringy. Proceed with your favorite cream soup recipe.
