Maryland Crab Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 to 8 strips bacon
1 lb. beef shin bone
3 qt. water
1 large onion, chopped
2 large stalks celery, chopped
1 (l lb.) can tomatoes
1 Tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
1 pkg. frozen mixed soup vegetables with okra
1 lb. crab meat or 6 to 8 cooked and steamed crabs (pick center part and throw in claws)
Preparation

Brown beef in soup pot with bacon strips.
Add other ingredients, except frozen vegetables and crab meat.
Cook 3 hours or until meat is tender.
Add rest of ingredients and simmer covered until vegetables are done.
If you want it hotter, add a few dashes of Tabasco sauce, or have it available on serving.
