Cut the meat to the thickness desired (I prefer just under 1/4 inch. Saturate the meat for at least 2 - 24 hours in the marinade and place it on your dehydrator. After about 3-4 hours rotate the beef jerky. When the meat bends like a willow tree it is probably about ready. (Usually 6-8 hours in a dehydrator).
Cut venison into 1/2 x 1/4 x 3-inch slivers.
Mix smoke and soy sauce in bowl.
Add deer meat and soak in refrigerator over night 8-12 hours.
Drain excess liquid in the morning.
Separate slivers and lay on dehydrator trays.
Dehydrate on medium high setting approximately 6-8 hours or more until very leathery and dry but not brittle.
Store in air tight containers or zip lock bags.
Keep in cool and dry place.
Slice turkey across the grain in 1 inch strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
(Meat will cut easier if partially frozen.)

Place turkey on trays in single layer in dehydrator and dry overnight.
When the rooster crows, your turkey will be jerky.

Spoon into glass pie plate sprayed with no stick cooking spray. Top with remaining 1/2 cup cheese.
Bake 15 minutes or until heated through. Serve with crusty bread or crackers.
Cut jerky strips into bite-sized pieces (1/2- to 1-inch).
Put the pieces in a sandwich bag then add the dried fruit.

If you don't own a dehydrator, this can be done in your oven on it's lowest setting with the oven door propped open an inch or two.
Thinly slice cross rib roast as thin as possible about 1/32\". Mix soy sauce, liquid smoke, granulated garlic, and chili powder together in a bowl. Dip each slice of meat in sauce then lay flat in a dehydrator. Repeat steps until all the meat is gone. Plug dehydrator in and turn on high about 160 degrees for 10 hours.
Cut steak into 1 inch wide by 4 inches long strips. Smaller, leftover pieces will cook well- don't just through them away!
Mix other 8 ingredients together.
Pour mixture over meat.
Coat each piece of meat with marinade.
Marinate in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Place meat on dehydrator trays- do not overlap meat.
Dehydrate at 160 degrees for 10 hours.
