Fried Apples

Rinse and peel apples.
Cut into wedges.
Melt butter in frying pan.
Add apples, cinnamon, sugar and vanilla extract. Cook on low.
Simmer approximately 20 to 25 minutes until apples are soft and crispy (not mushy).
Sprinkle cinnamon over top of fried apples.

Candied Yams And Fried Apples

Combine apples and yams.
Put into shallow baking dish.
Mix remaining ingredients and spoon over entire casserole.
Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
Baste occasionally with the syrup in the casserole.

Fried Apples

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Open can of apples and put in a casserole dish.
Using a brisk motion, tap pan on tabletop to evenly distribute apples in pan.
Note:
Refrain from stirring unnecessarily during fried apple preparation.
Stir only when recipe says to stir.
Pour sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl and mix well.
Pour evenly over apples.
Cut margarine in pieces.
Dot on top of apples evenly.
Place in oven uncovered 20 minutes. Remove from oven.
Stir gently.
Return to oven 5 minutes more.

Caramel Apple Pie Dump "Cake"

Preheat oven to 350.
Pour apple pie filling and fried apples in a 13x9 pan evenly.
Sprinkle apples with spices and sugar.
Pour dry cake mix over spices.
Dot with butter.
Sprinkle with nuts.
Bake 45 minutes-1 hour, until cake is brown and bubbling on sides.
Serve warm with ice cream.

Fried Apples With Bacon

Fry bacon until crisp, remove and drain.
From pan, drain all by 1/4 cup of melted fat.
Cut apples, cored but not peeled, into 1/2-inch thick round slices.
Mix flour with sugar and spices.
Roll apple slices in flour mixture.
Fry apple in fat until golden brown on both sides and apple is easily pierced and tender.
Serve hot apple slices with crisp bacon slices.
Makes 6 servings.

Put oatmeal, water and raisins in medium size saucepan.
Heat over medium-high flame for about 1 minute.
Sprinkle in allspice and stir, cooking another 3 to 5 minutes, until it reaches desired consistency.
Remove from heat and stir in fried apples.
(The Lucky Leaf brand of fried apples comes with a heavy sweet syrup; no sugar may be needed, depending on your taste.)
Makes 2 to 3 servings.

Karen'S Apple Pie

Dip the apples out of the sauce they come in and discard the sauce.
(The sauce will make the pie too juicy, will not cut to serve well.)
Place the fried apples in the unbaked pie crust. Mix the melted butter or margarine, pecans, brown sugar and flour until crumbly.
Place the dry mixture on top of the apples and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven until the crust is brown and the top is golden.

Fried Apple Casserole

Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Put in apples.
Pour butter over apples.
Combine sugar, cheese and flour.
Pour over apples. Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.

Sprinkle sugar and seasonings over apples.

If overcooked, the apples will fall to pieces.
Serve hot.

Country Fried Apples

Peel, core and thinly slice apples.
In large skillet, melt butter or margarine.
Add apples.
Saute 10 minutes.
Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 5 minutes more.
Makes 4 servings.

Place apples, sugar and water in skillet. When apples begin to cook, turn on medium heat and cook until apples begin to brown. Remove from heat before they begin to stick. Serve hot with fresh butter and hot biscuits.

Fried Apples With Bacon

Place apples in bowl.
Add sugar, lemon juice, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves; toss to coat.
Saute bacon in large skillet until crisp.
Transfer bacon to paper towels to drain.
Add apples to pan drippings and saute until tender, about 10 minutes.
Transfer apples and juices in skillet to bowl.
Sprinkle with bacon.

Pan-Fried Apples

In 10 inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Stir in sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
Blend in water.
Arrange apples over sauce.
Cover and cook over medium heat, spooning sauce over apples until apples are tender and sauce is thick.
Serve in 4 pudding bowls, passing pouring cream or custard separately.
