Fried Apples With Bacon - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large Granny Smith apples, cored, cut into 1/2 inch thick slices
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
    3/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. ground cloves
    1/2 lb. bacon, chopped
Preparation
    Place apples in bowl.
    Add sugar, lemon juice, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves; toss to coat.
    Saute bacon in large skillet until crisp.
    Transfer bacon to paper towels to drain.
    Add apples to pan drippings and saute until tender, about 10 minutes.
    Transfer apples and juices in skillet to bowl.
    Sprinkle with bacon.
    Serves 4.
