My aunt, who later became head chef at the Memorial Union at the University of Wisconsin, gave me the salad and dessert recipes way back in the forties.
Crumble
cookies (best if cold) and reserve 1/2 cup for top. Melt

For crust: Mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl
Pat into a 9X13 pan like you would pie dough.
Bake at 275 degrees for 15 minutes.
For cream cheese layer: Cream together cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla with an electric mixer.

Bring water and danish dessert mix to a boil for one minute.

Mix oreos with margarine and press into 13x9 pan bottom only.

Slightly heat hot fudge and pour over ice cream.
Don't get it too warm as it will melt the ice cream and ruin the dessert.
Just warm enough to pour comfortably.
Cover with the peanuts.
Spread the cool whip over the top.
Sprinkle with the left over oreo crumbs.
Freeze.
Take out 1/2 hour before serving time.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Beat pumpkin, milk, sugars, eggs and spices together.
Pour into an ungreased 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Sprinkle with cake mix.
Pour melted margarine on top; sprinkle with nuts.

Core and peel apples down halfway.
Fill apple centers with granulated sugar.
Place in deep baking dish and cover completely with orange juice.
Bake in a 300\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
Cool apples, turn upside-down in juice and refrigerate, covered, overnight or until completely chilled.
When ready to serve, place apple upright in individual serving dish.
Ladle small amount of juice over apple and top with mixture of sour cream and powdered sugar. Delicious for dessert or brunch.
The key to this delicious traditional dessert is allowing each layer to set fully before proceeding to the next.
So allow yourself 48 hours in its preparation.
Bake cake as directed.
Substitute pineapple juice from pineapple in place of water (if not enough juice, add water to make up the difference).
When cake is cool, cover top with 2 cans vanilla pudding, then spread pineapple on top of pudding.
Then spread Cool Whip on top.
Chill in refrigerator.
Makes a delicious cool dessert and it's easy!!!
