Persian Yogurt Drink (Doogh)

First soften the yogurt and put it in the cup you want to use.
Then, add your desired amount of salt.
Finally add your carbonated water, then mix with spoon until smooth.
Then its ready to drink and its usually served cold or with some ice cubes.

Lassi-Yogurt Drink

Mix yogurt and water together.
Add ice cubes and serve chilled.
For saltish drink, add salt.
For sweetish drink, add sugar to taste.

Rabri (Barley-Yogurt Drink)

Bring 6 cups of water, barley flour, and whole barley to a boil in a large saucepan. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer 1 hour. Remove from the heat and refrigerate until cold.
Whisk the yogurt with 1/4 cup of water; stir into the cooked barley. Season to taste with salt. Serve chilled as a cool drink.

Fruit Salad

Cut up all fresh fruit.
Rinse strawberries and grapes. Combine cottage cheese with cinnamon and raspberry yogurt drink. Blend in sliced strawberries.
Arrange fruit on lettuce lined plates.
Place 4 ounces cottage cheese mixture in center of each plate for festive, nutritious lunch.
Serves 4.

Okroshka (Chilled Yogurt Soup)

In a large bowl, mash the egg yolks with the back of a fork. Stir in mustard and sugar. Gradually add the yogurt and mix well. Refrigerate the soup for at least one hour and up to one day.
In another bowl, mix together the radishes, potato, cucumber, ham, green onions and dill. Place this mixture into the yogurt mixture just before serving. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Strawberry-Yogurt Drink

If frozen, thaw strawberries.
In blender, combine buttermilk, yogurt, banana, ice cubes and strawberries.
Cover and blend until smooth.
Makes 4 servings at 93 calories each.

Strawberry Yogurt Drink

Put strawberries, yogurt, pineapple juice and honey in blender and blend together.
Add optional wheat germ and blend again. Serve at once.

Yogurt Juice - Drinkable Yogurt

Put all ingredients in blender and process to mix.
Pour into a container w/ a tight fitting lid.
Refrigerate.
Shake before pouring (has a tendency to settle and separate).

If serving to an infant I add 1/2 yogurt juice to 1/2 water.

Cranberry Grape Yogurt Shake

In a blender container, process grape cranberry drink and yogurt or ice cream on high until blended.

Homemade Thick Vanilla Yogurt

Yogurt Pop

Add the milk to the yogurt, then blend in the drink mix.
Stir to dissolve.
Pour into the ice tups set.
Seal and freeze.
Makes 6.

Homemade Yogurt

Combine gelatin in 1 cup boiling water.
Set aside to cool. Preheat oven to 275\u00b0.
Combine nonfat dry milk and 3 cups water. Add canned milk and sugar and gelatin mix.
Blend yogurt with remaining water and add to mixture.
Cover bowl with dish towel and put in oven.
Turn oven off.
Leave in oven 8 to 10 hours. If yogurt hasn't gelled, reheat oven and replace in oven for another 6 to 8 hours with oven off.
It will stiffen more when refrigerated.
May also be used in place of sour cream in recipes.

Yogurt Pops

Prepare drink mix according to package directions. Combine with yogurt. Pour into ice pop molds and freeze until firm.

Lebanese Laban Mutboukh (Cooked Yogurt)

Place yogurt in a heavy saucepan.
Blend beaten egg white into the yogurt.
Add cornstartch& salt.
Stir in the same direction until well blended.
Place pan over medium heat and stir constantly with a wooden spoon.
Heat until it starts to boil, always stir in the same direction (this is important).
Lower heat and let it simmer 3-5 minutes until thick.
Use as required in recipes (Laba Bil Bayd-Eggs in yogurt is one recipe that calls for it- see separate posting).

Nutritional Drink For Pregnancy

Mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth. (If you aren't using the fruit you can just stir it up with a spoon).
Both nutritional yeast and blackstrap molasses are strong flavors. If you aren't accustomed to them use less at first and increase the strength a little at a time as you get used to them.
If you can't drink it all at once it will keep in the fridge all day -- just stir it up again as needed.

Summer Cool Punch

Combine both drinks in large bowl.
(If you only have a smaller bowl, split just the drink recipes.)
Spoon on ice cream and sherbet.

Gordon'S Berry Breakfast Drink

Place the orange juice, pineapple juice, yogurt, blueberries, strawberries, and bananas into a blender. Cover and blend until smooth. The berry drink will be very thick. Serve immediately.

Lassi (Indian Yogurt Drink)

1.Place all ingredients except the ice cubes in a blender and blend until smooth.
2.One by one, add the ice cubes and blend further until they are broken down into a slush.
3.Serve in a tall, cold glass on a hot, hot day.
Variations.
Plain Lassi: eliminate the sugar, fruit and rosewater. Substitute a pinch of salt and some toasted cumin seeds.
Bhang Lassi: a traditional lassi with cannabis extract and ground almonds. Used in the religious festival of Holi.
