Wisconsin Bratwurst

Prick bratwurst with fork to prevent them from exploding as they cook. Place in a large stock pot with the onions, butter, and beer. Place pot over medium heat, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
Preheat grill for medium-high heat.
Lightly oil grate. Cook bratwurst on preheated grill for 10 to 14 minutes, turning occasionally to brown evenly. Serve hot off the grill with onions on hoagie rolls.

On Wisconsin Beer Brats

In a slow cooker, combine the bratwurst links, butter, beer, onions, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, garlic and brown sugar. Cover and set to High. Cook for 4 hours, stirring once per hour. Add sauerkraut and continue cooking for another hour.
Serve bratwurst on buns with onions and top with your favorite condiments.

Wisconsin Beer Brats

Put brats and 1/2 to 1 whole sliced onion in large kettle, cover with beer, 2 to 3 cans.
Boil 30 to 40 minutes until brats turn a sort of white.
Let sit in kettle for a minute or two.
Take kettle to hot charcoal grill and put brats on grill.
As they brown, take them off and put them back in the beer and onion sauce. Serve from kettle on hot dog buns with horseradish mustard and the works and the rest of the beer.
Great for summertime cookout.

Wisconsin Bratwurst

In a large stock pot add onions, butter, beer, and pepper. Prick bratwurst with a fork to keep them from exploding while they cook. Simmer over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes.
Preheat grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil grates. When grill is hot, add bratwurst and grill for 10-14 minutes turning often for even browning.
Place in hoagie rolls, add additional onion and serve immediately.

Wisconsin Slow Cooker Brats

Place bratwurst, beer, onion, and ketchup in a slow cooker. Pour water over mixture until everything is covered. Set slow cooker to HIGH and cook for 4 hours.
Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil grate.
Grill bratwurst on preheated grill until they are browned, about 5 minutes.

Wisconsin Badger Burger

Using a flat-top griddle, grill or frypan, --
Cook the burger pattie so that it's still a bit \"pink\" inside & top with the cheddar cheese slice.
Cook the bratwurst pattie completely through & top with the monterey jack slice.
Stack both patties on the toasted bun & top with the lettuce, tomato & onion slice.
Top with your favorite condiments -- I prefer just ketchup & mayo.

Bratwurst And Onions

In a skillet over medium heat Saute the garlic and butter for approx one minute.
Add in the onions, salt, pepper, and enough beer to cover the bottom of the pan.
Cook the onions over medium heat until tender and caremelized.
Remove the onions from the pan and place the bratwurst in the pan. Brown the bratwurst and cook.
Once the bratwurst are cooked add the onions and remaining beer to the pan. Cook over medium heat until the beer has reduced to a thicker sauce with the onions.

Wisconsin Salad

Dissolve gelatin in the hot water and let cool until slightly thickened.
Add the other ingredients and whip until the color of a Wisconsin sunset.

Bratwurst Preparation

Put all ingredients in skillet with enough water to cover bratwurst.
Pierce bratwurst.
Bring to a boil.
Simmer 20 minutes.
Grill bratwurst normally.

Beer Bratwurst And Cabbage

Poke holes in the beer bratwurst and pre-cook the package in the microwave for about 4 minutes. (This gets alot of the grease out.) After pre-cooking, cut the bratwurst into 1/2 inch slices and set aside.
Put onions, bell peppers, and cabbage in a pot with oil. Cover and cook on medium for about 30 minutes. Check it often and stir.
Add bratwurst, tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 20 minutes. Serve.
(**Use the Del Monte tomatoes with basil, garlic, and oregano.).

Bratwurst Skillet

Heat large skillet over medium heat until hot.
Add bratwurst; cover and cook about 5 minutes or until browned and no longer pink in center.
Transfer bratwurst to plate.
Cover and keep warm.
Drain all but 1 tablespoon drippings from skillet.
Add bell pepper, onions, paprika and caraway seeds.
Cook and stir about 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Combine bratwurst and vegetables.
Serve immediately.

Bratwurst And Rice

Grill or pan-fry bratwurst.
Add beer and cover to saute for 5 minutes.
Add cut fresh peppers, celery and green onions.
Cover and steam vegetables 5 minutes or until cooked.
Slice bratwurst and serve over rice with vegetables.
Enjoy.

Curry Bratwurst

Coat skillet with melted butter (or Pam).
Place bratwurst (sliced) into skillet and fry on all sides.
Meanwhile, peel and dice onion and peel, quarter and core apple, then dice into bite sized pieces.
Add to bratwurst shortly before sausages have finished frying until onion/apple mixture is almost tender.
Then add ketchup and take from skillet.
Once it's been arranged on the plates, season to taste with paprika and curry.
Serve with rolls. Frying time:
approximately 10 minutes.

Bratwurst, Sauerkraut And Bean Casserole

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Cook bratwurst in a skillet over medium-high heat just until nicely browned on the outside.
Spread sauerkraut in the bottom of a 9x11 casserole dish, leaving a 2 inch margin at the edges. Sprinkle celery salt and brown sugar over the sauerkraut. Place the sausages on top. Pour the beans around the outer edge of the sauerkraut. Cover the dish with a lid or aluminum foil.
Bake for about 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until bratwurst links are cooked through.

Brined Bratwurst

In a large skillet, combine onion, balsamic vinegar, and water. Simmer over medium-low heat for 10 minutes. Place bratwurst in the simmering water; cover, and simmer 20 minutes. Be sure the water is only simmering, not boiling.
Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat, and lightly oil grate.
Remove the bratwurst, and drain liquid from pan. Add butter to the pan with the onions, and cook over low heat until onions are browned.
Grill brats over high heat for 5 to 7 minutes, turning to brown on all sides. Serve with onions.

Bratwurst With Cabbage And Pancetta

Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook bratwurst, turning, for 10 mins, or until browned and cooked through.
Meanwhile, heat a large saucepan and cook pancetta, stirring, until browned lightly and crisp. Add cabbage and cook, stirring, until tender. Add stock and simmer, covered, for 3 mins or until cabbage wilts. Stir in caraway seeds and mustard and season to taste.
Serve sausages with cabbage mixture.

In a large saucepan, combine the milk and soup until blended.
Add bratwurst and beans.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minute or until heated through.
Stir in cheese until melted.
