Partially cook carrots and onions in salt water.
Place vegetables around chicken and heat to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer until chicken and vegetables are tender (35 to 45 minutes).

Brown meat and onions; drain grease.

Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Beat until it starts to thicken.

Put sugar and Pet milk in a 3 or 4-quart pan.
Bring to rolling boil, stirring constantly.
Boil for 6 minutes.
Remove from heat and pour over contents in bowl. Stir until chips are melted.
Pour into 10 x 16-inch pan.
Let stand 8 hours.

Icebox Fruit Cake

Melt marshmallows in Pet milk in a double boiler. Add the remaining ingredients. Put in a container lined with aluminum foil and store in the refrigerator. Chill well before slicing.
