Marinate for 24 hours in refrigerator.

Use of heat: the heat of the pilot light is sufficient, remove from oven after 24 hours, store in a large wide mouthed jar that has air holes in lid.
If you have an electric oven, you will have to turn the heat on and off; never let the temperature rise above 100\u00b0.
The jerky may be done in less than 24 hours.
The secret is very low but consistent heat.

Marinate in sauce above for 10 minutes.
Lay out separately in dehydrator and leave until fully dried, approximately 12 to 14 hours.

Annette'S Grilled Teriyaki Chicken

Combine cooking oil and margarine in a large pot and heat. When oil is hot, add onions.
Saute onion mixture until tender and transparent.
Add garlic powder and black pepper.
Stir well to blend seasoning.
Add tomato sauce and water.
Simmer for 20 minutes until a red gray sauce forms.
Cook 10 minutes more.
Set aside.

Brush on meat anytime and as many times to taste.
(I usually make 8 times the recipe for a huge batch and marinate the meat overnight with 1/4 sauce.)
