Preheat oven to 225\u00b0.
Cut off top of bread 1 inch from top and hollow out loaf with a fork to form a bowl.
Reserve with bread pieces in an airtight bag to use as dippers.
Mix the remaining ingredients to make the dip and pour into the hollowed out loaf. Replace top and wrap entire loaf in foil.
Bake for 3 hours. Serves approximately 15.
This is a big hit at parties even with people who don't like clams.
You may want to buy an extra loaf of sourdough bread to cut up into bite size pieces for dipping, also.

With a bread knife, cut a circle through the top of round loaf about 1-inch from edge.
Gently remove center portion of bread loaf, leaving a bowl-shaped bottom.
Cut removed center portion into 1/2-inch strips.

Combine the olive oil, balsamic vinegar and garlic and brush on the sourdough bread.
Grill the sourdough bread over a moderate flame until the bread is toasted.
Arrange some of the proscuitto, cheese and watercress in between two slices of bread and sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Cut in half on the diagonal.
Pre-heat oven to 350.
Cut off the top of the Sourdough round.
Hollow out the bread to form a bowl shape (Save the left over bread).
Combine onions, Cream Cheese, Sour Cream, Ham and Cheese.
Mix until completely blended.
Fill the Bread shell with the cream cheese mixture and replace the top of the bread.
Bake for 25 minutes.
Cut up the left over bread into bite size pieces and use for dipping.
I cut up extra sourdough bread or serve crackers with this dip.

Remove top, place loaf on serving tray, and surround with bread pieces.

If the sourdough loaf is small, use two.
For the Sourdough Bread, combine the warm water and
he top of the round bread loaf. Scoop out the center, reserving
hred by hand a loaf of sour dough bread.
Fry sausage
Mix ingredients well.
Chill dip at least two hours.
Hollow out a round sourdough bread loaf or pumpernickel loaf and fill with the dip.
Cut the middle section of the bread into squares and place around the dip instead of crackers.
Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
Heat grill.
Cut loaf into 1-inch slices.
Lightly spread one side of each slice of bread with margarine.
Place, margarine side down, on ungreased cookie sheet.
Sprinkle cheese, bacon and parsley evenly on bread slices.
When ready to barbecue, place slices, margarine side down, directly on gas grill over medium-high heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6-inches from coals.
Cook 4 to 6 minutes or until bottom of bread is toasted and cheese is melted. Makes 8 servings.
Cut off ends from the bread.
Using a long handled
Balsamic Sauce: Process first 7 ingredients in blender or food processor until smooth.
Thread zucchini, mushrooms, red pepper and bread cubes alternately onto skewers. Place in a single layer in large shalow baking dish. Brush kabobs with sauce. Cover. Let stand for 30 minutes. Preheat grill to medium. Cook kabobs on greased grill for 15 minutes, turning occasionally, until bread is crisp and vegetables are tender.

Have bread for dipping and whatever vegetables.
Cut top off bread.
Remove center and cut into cubes.
Fill center of bread with mixture of mayonnaise, sour cream, onion, Beau Monde and ham or beef.
Dip pieces of bread into dip and place around outside of loaf.
