Brown the ground beef or sausage, drain and set aside. Be sure to season the ground beef with a little salt and pepper.

Punch holes in the roast with a fork. Baste it well with your choice of sauce and rub it down with Morton's Nature's Seasons.
Place the roast in an open roaster or pan.
Do not cover.
Wrap the potatoes separately in tinfoil. Place the roast and the potatoes into the preheated 500\u00b0 oven. Bake at a rate of 5 minutes per pound.
