Place cubes into large oblong pan that has been sprayed with Pam.
Place sausage over bread.
Mix all other ingredients and pour over bread and sausage.

Bake unfrozen at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
(Hence the name Church Eggs; can be baked while at church with timer.)
Frozen may bake 15 minutes longer.
On a large piece of foil (heavy duty), stack patty, onion slices, carrot slices and potatoes.
Season with salt and pepper. Place about 1 to 2 tablespoons butter (in pats) on top of vegetables.
Fold the foil making a package, making sure it is closed as not to leak.
It is best to cook right on charcoal,15 minutes on one side and turn for 12 minutes on other side.
