Cook 1 pound raisins and 1 cup water over medium high heat for 15 minutes.
Add 1 cup cold water.
In large mixing bowl cream 1/2 cup shortening and 2 cups sugar.
Add 1 teaspoons Salt, 1 teaspoons Ginger, 1 teaspoons Cinnamon and 1 teaspoons Baking soda, mix well.
Add raisins and water. Add 4 cups flour. Mix well.
Put in a 13x9 inch greased baking pan.
Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan.
Frost with Glaze. Cut into bar cookies.

Peanut And Sultana Slice (Or Peanut & Golden Raisin Bar)

Pre-heat oven to 180 deg Celsius. Grease a slice pan 19cm x 29cm.
Gently melt the butter in a saucepan large enough to mix all ingredients.
Add sugar, sultanas, peanuts and coconut and give a quick stir. Now add sifted flour.
Firmly press this mix into prepared pan. I prefer to use my hands. Bake for 30 mins, or until golden.
Cool in pan, not cutting until completely cold, ideally the next day.

Raisin-Bran Muffins

In a very large bowl, combine Raisin Bran, sugar and flour. Add buttermilk, oil, eggs and raisins.
Stir well.
Pour into greased muffin tins and bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
This recipe can be kept in the refrigerator for 5 to 6 weeks.

Raisin Bran Muffins(Cypress Inn Recipe)

Mix eggs, sugar, oil and vanilla. Sift flour, soda, salt, nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon. Add buttermilk and fold in box of Raisin Bran until dissolved. Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Place on middle rack; do not overcook.
Grease pans with Pam generously. These will come out perfect and delicious.

Raisin Meringue Bread Pudding

Raisin Bar Cookies

Cook raisins in enough water to have 1 cup juice.
Simmer at least 10 minutes.
Cool.
Stir together brown sugar, margarine, egg and vanilla.
Beat well.
Stir together the dry ingredients.
Add raisin juice to sugar mixture and mix well.
Add flour and mix, then add the raisins and nuts.
Spread in 9 x 12-inch pan.
Bake for 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Frost with powdered sugar icing.

Cut together margarine and sugar with pastry blender.
Add egg and Raisin Bran; cut this in also, let set.
Combine flour, salt and baking powder.
Alternate the dry ingredients with milk.
Blend or cut in carefully; do not stir.
After mixing, put in greased and floured pans.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.

Neiman-Marcus Cookies(Recipe May Be Halved)

Measure oatmeal, and blend in a blender to a fine powder. Cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla, mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda.
Add chocolate chips, Hershey bar, and nuts.
Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes in 375 degree oven.
Makes 112 cookies.

Cream together the butter, sugar and brown sugar.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Mix together the flour, oatmeal (put small amounts of oatmeal into blender until it turns to powder), salt, baking powder and baking soda.
Mix all those ingredients and add chocolate chips, Hershey candy bar (grated) and chopped nuts.
