For pumpkin layer: combine egg, pumpkin, sugar and pumpkin pie spice in medium bowl.
Spread over bottom of pie shell or pie pan if making from scratch.
For almond layer, combine corn syrup, eggs, sugar, butter, and almond extract in same bowl, stir in almonds and spoon over pumpkin layer.
Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 50 to 55 minutes or until filling is set.
Cool on wire rack.
I make my crust from scratch and cut out pumpkins or leaves with scraps and bake them and put on top of pie when it is cooled.

Meatless Mincemeat Pie

Combine mincemeat, walnuts, apples, brown sugar, lemon juice and rum in a bowl. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
Take filling out of refrigerator and let come to room temperature. Prepare crusts. Stir filling well and pour into shell. Top with full crust and make slits or make a lattice top. Crimp edges.
Bake in preheated oven on low shelf for 40 minutes or until golden brown.

Crumble, then drain.
Prepare 9-inch premade or from scratch pie shell.
Mix cheese and sausage; sprinkle in shell.
Lightly beat eggs in bowl.
Combine remaining ingredients and eggs in bowl.

Fry the onions until golden brown, and then remove from pan to a small dish.
Brown meat.
Add molasses, soy sauce, salt and hot water to cover.
Simmer for about 1 1/2 hours.
Add celery and simmer another 15 minutes.
Add chop suey vegetables and mushrooms (juice and all).
Simmer until all vegetables and meat are tender. Pour into baking dish and cover with Bisquick Meat Pie Recipe to which has been added a small amount of celery seed.
