In a large bowl, stir together egg, mayonnaise, mustard, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, crab boil seasoning, pepper, salt and hot pepper sauce.
Gently mix in the crabmeat, cracker crumbs and bell pepper.
Form eight patties, each 3/4 inch thick.
Warm the oil and butter together over medium-high heat.Fry the crab cakes 5 to 7 minutes on each side or until they are golden. Drain them.
Serve immediately.Squeeze lime or lemon juice over them.

Place whole tomatoes, water, lima beans, corn, sliced carrots, chopped onion, Old Bay seasoning, and beef broth, in a 4 quart pot. Heat to simmer, cover, and cook for 5 minutes.

Begin by buying the freshest 1 pound lump crab meat available, then handle the mixing so very gently in order not to break up the lumps.
Beat egg, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, seasoning, parsley flakes, dry mustard, mayonnaise and salad dressing.
Break bread into small pieces and, along with the crab meat, gently fold into the egg-spice mixture.
Shape into slightly flattened patties and chill.

In a big soup pot, put beef bone, V-8 juice, water and 1 pound crab meat.
Add seasonings, green pepper, onion and celery. Simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Add potatoes and frozen mixed vegetables.
Cook until potatoes are tender, 20 to 30 minutes. Wait until a half hour before serving time to add the last pound of crab meat.
