The spicy taste of Hot Mulled Cider makes a nice change of pace for holiday parties or a soothing way to relax after an exhausting shopping spree.
Pour the apple cider into a large party size electric coffee maker.
Place the mulling spices in the basket.
Plug in and perk! When the red light goes on, you have delicious, hot mulled cider. Serve with a cinnamon stick.
Serves 10 to 15.
Brew 250 mL (8 oz) of Green Mountain hot apple cider.
Pour the dark rum in the hot apple cider.
Place a cinnamon stick and apple slices in the mug to decorate.
In a saucepan, mix cider, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon with brown sugar.
Bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes.
Remove spices and serve hot, or allow mulled cider to chill and serve cold.
