Hot Mulled Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. sugar
    3 sticks cinnamon
    1 orange, thinly sliced
    2 tsp. whole cloves
    1 lemon, thinly sliced
    1 c. water
    1 qt. apple cider
Preparation
    Place all the ingredients, except the cider, in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; boil for 5 minutes.
    Add the cider; heat just to boiling.
    Serve in mugs.
    Yields 1 1/4 quarts.
