Hot Mulled Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. whole allspice
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    3 (1-inch) sticks cinnamon
    dash of nutmeg
    1 gal. natural cider
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. brown sugar (omit if using natural cider)
Preparation
    Tie first 4 ingredients in a small cloth bag.
    Combine spice bag, salt, sugar (if used) and cider in a kettle.
    Bring slowly to a boil.
    Cover; reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
    Remove spice bag and serve hot with orange slices (thin) as floaters.
