This recipe is not suitable for baked pie crust shells.
It makes a nice, flaky crust that's suitable for everyday use.

About 50 Minutes Before Serving:
Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
In a 10-inch skillet over medium-low heat, cook bacon until browned. With slotted spoon, remove bacon to drain on paper towels. Sprinkle cheese and half of bacon in pie crust.
In medium bowl, beat eggs.
Stir in half and half, salt and nutmeg.
Pour into pie crust.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Turn oven to 325\u00b0 and bake 20 minutes longer, or until set.
Garnish with remaining bacon.
Bake crust for about 15 minutes.
Cook broccoli and chip into bite-size chunks. (If using spinach, just thaw and drain.) Put broccoli or spinach into the bottom of the pie crust.
Mix remaining ingredients, including your choice of meat, and pour over the broccoli.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350 degrees F, until knife comes out clean.
Beat eggs until foamy, add soup and milk, mixing well. Sprinkle cheese, meat, and vegetable evenly over the pie crust (use the deep dish, 9 inch frozen).
Pour liquid mixture over all and sprinkle with nutmeg.
Bake at 350 for 50 minutes or until center is set.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
Melt margarine in skillet and saute onion until tender.
Add mushrooms and cook over medium heat until tender, about 3 minutes. Stir in lemon juice. Cover and simmer 2 minutes.
Sprinkle with flour and cook, stirring constantly, until mushroom liquid has thickened.
