Oven Fried Chicken: Dip chicken pieces into mixture of melted
Wipe chicken pieces with a damp cloth, cheese, thyme, salt and onion powder.
Dip chicken in buttermilk, then roll in crumb mixture.
Place in lightly greased, shallow baking pan or on a greased cookie sheet and bake in 325\u00b0 oven for about 1 hour, or until meat next to the bone is no longer pink.
Serves 4 or 5.
Combine crumbs, cheese, salt and pepper. Dip chicken in butter, then into crumbs, being careful to coat heavily. Place in baking dish. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes uncovered. Do not turn chicken. (This can be refrigerated overnight before baking.)

Coat each side of chicken in the oil.
