Mix brown sugar, cinnamon and apples.
Add candied yams and nuts.
Pour melted butter on top.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Scrub the yams with a vegetable brush and boil them in their jackets uncovered for 30 minutes (or fork tender). Drain, peel, and cut in 2\" thick rounds.
In a pot boil sugar, butter, water, salt, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg 5 minutes.
Arrange yams in a 9x13 pan. Add peeled, cored, sliced apples. Tuck in the nuts and fresh cranberries amongst the yams and apples. Pour syrup over the top. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Oven directions:
Combine syrup, sugar, and butter in saucepan over medium heat until thickened.
Place yams in shallow baking dish and pour sauce over yams.
Bake at 350* for 25-30 minutes.
Stovetop directions:
Place all ingredients in a small saucepan.
Bring just to boil on medium heat for about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat, stir, and serve.
Microwave directions:
Combine all ingrediens in a microwave safe dish.
Cover and mocrowave on high for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes. Stir and serve.
Drain cans of yams. Place into a large casserole dish. Pour in the can of pineapple (use more or less to your liking) juice & bits. Sprinkle the brown sugar on top. Mix all together gently (the yams will be soft). Sprinkle on the marshmallows on top. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes and broil for 2 just to get the marshmallows browned.
Put all ingredients in large pot and bring to slow boil.
Peel yams and slice lengthwise.
Be sure each slice is coated when put into pot with above ingredients so it won't turn dark.
Cook without lid until tender.
(Recipe can be doubled, tripled, etc.)
Spread butter mixture over the yams. Cover with foil and bake
Combine apples and yams; pour into a shallow baking dish.
Mix remaining ingredients; spoon over entire casserole.
Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
Baste the yams and apples occasionally with the syrup in the casserole. Serves 6.
Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
Grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
Drain off about 1/2 of liquid from canned yams.
Pour yams and remaining liquid into casserole dish.
Sprinkle with the next five ingredients and then top with marshmallows.
Bake for 1 hour, or until nice and bubbly.
Empty yams in dish. Sprinkle with rest of ingredients. Butter to cover in patties. Bake 30 to 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
In a saucepan melt first 3 ingredients.
Pour over yams. (I use 3 very large yams which have been wrapped in aluminum foil and baked until soft.
Peel and slice about 1 1/2 inches thick.
Set on end in baking dish and pour candied sauce over yams.)
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven until sauce boils and yams are heated through.
Melt 1/2 of the margarine in a large pan.
Add the yams, sugar, salt, vanilla and water.
Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until tender.
Stir in the rest of the margarine, nutmeg and lemon juice.
Cook 10 minutes without the lid.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F.
Butter a loaf pan and dust with a cinnamon sugar mixture.
Sift the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl and set aside.
Cream together the yams and sugar until smooth.
Add butter; mix.
Add eggs; mix.
Add milk; mix.
Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
Fold in nuts and/or chocolate chips if using.
Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
Sprinkle top with more cinnamon sugar mixture.
Bake for 60 minutes.
Cool 10 minutes.
Remove from pan to wire rack to cool completely.
Peel yams; cook until tender, not mushy (1/2-inch slices). Heat oven to 375\u00b0. Place in large 3-quart baking dish. Mix together remaining ingredients in heavy saucepan and bring to boil. Simmer 3 minutes. Pour over yams and bake 30 minutes, basting until well candied.
Drain yams; place in a 2-quart casserole dish.
Cut butter into squares; place on the yams.
Sprinkle cinnamon over yams. Grease casserole dish prior to adding the yams.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for an hour.
When yams are almost finished, pour marshmallows over them and bake for 10 minutes, or until the marshmallows melt.
Parboil yams and then peel.
Cut in thick slices.
Place in baking dish.
Mix all dry ingredients.
Cover yams with mixture. Dot with margarine.
Put lemon juice over yams.
Pour water in. Cut 1/2 orange in slices.
Place on yams.
Other 1/2 of orange squeeze over yams.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes or until yams are tender.
Syrup is thick, baste after.

Roast whole yams in preheated oven until heated
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Drain the yams.
In a shallow baking dish mash one can of yams and leave the other can of yams in pieces (This is more of a personal preferance, you can leave both cans in pieces if you wish).
Pour orange juice over the yams.
Sprinkle on brown sugar and cinnamon.
Dot with butter or margarine.
Top the yams with marshmallows.
Bake 30 minutes or until marshmallows have melted.
Be sure to watch the yams the last 5 minutes because the marshmellows can burn.
