Use your favorite white cake recipe or use 1 white cake mix and bake according to instructions in 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
Let cool 10 to 15 minutes.
Poke holes in the cake with a toothpick, fork tines, etc.
Melt butter, brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of pineapple juice in a saucepan.
Spray sides and bottom of a cake pan.
Pour brown sugar mixture into it.
Arrange pineapple rings and cherries on top.
Prepare cake mix according to directions on package, or make your favorite cake recipe and pour over mixture in cake pan.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
Let stand to cool a few minutes, then invert onto a plate.
Prepare favorite white cake recipe or boxed cake mix and divide batter between 1 (8-inch) square pan and 1 (8-inch) round pan.
Bake according to directions.
Remove cakes from pan and cool.
Use any good cake recipe
to make 4 layers.
Bake 2 plain, then add raisins, nut meats, cinnamon and cloves.
When cool stick with filling.
Combine flour, soda, salt, sugar and cinnamon.
Add eggs and oil.
Stir until dry ingredients are moistened.
DO NOT BEAT.
Stir in vanilla, pineapple, 1 cup pecans, and bananas.
Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 9-inch round pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0F for 23-28 minutes.
Cool in pans for 10 minutes.
Remove from pans and let cool completely on wire rack.
Frost with Humming Bird Cake Frosting (recipe #15993).
Measure and pour ingredients into a large bowl as listed. Stir with wooden spoon only until blended. Be sure to scrape off bottom of bowl. Bake in grease pan (angel food cake pan, large Bundt pan or 2 loaf pans). Bake on lowest rack of oven at 325\u00b0 for 1 to 1 1/4 hours or until top of cake is deep brown, shiny, with cracks forming.
Cool completely in pan, then loosen sides. Freezes well!
Tastes even better on second day.

Test after 60 minutes as that is all it takes in my oven. Cake will crack slightly on top.

Cream 1 cup butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add 1 cup Dr. Pepper and mix well.
Stir in 4 tablespoons cocoa, cinnamon and flour; mix thoroughly.
Add eggs, buttermilk and soda; beat until creamy.
Pour into 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake in a 350\u00b0 gas oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
Five minutes before cake is done, melt remaining butter, cocoa and Dr. Pepper with vanilla; mix well.
Pour over hot cake.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan.
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the eggs, oil, bananas and pineapple. Mix well and pour into prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 70 to 80 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.

Add the cocoa, cinnamon, flour and sugar to the butter mixture.
Mix the eggs, buttermilk, soda and vanilla and add to the rest of the mixture.
Pour into prepared 8 or 9 inch pans.
Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
DR PEPPER ICING Heat butter, Dr Pepper and cocoa stirring until well blended.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Frost cake.
