of crock-pot. Add roast. Pour tomato
juice over roast.
Sprinkle au jus mix and onion over roast. Cover.
Cook on high for 2 hours.
Turn to low and cook 2 to 3 hours more.
Rinse roast and pat dry. Sprinkle the onion soup mix in the bottom of crock-pot. Add roast. Spoon cranberry sauce over and around roast. Cover and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours. Remove roast while thickening gravy. Turn on high. Blend soft butter and flour into a paste and whisk into gravy. Cover and cook 10 minutes on high until thick. Slice roast into 1/4-inch slices and serve with gravy. Slices can be frozen in gravy in plastic freezer bags.
Layer 1/2 of the sauerkraut, 1/2 of the onion slices, sprinkle 1/2 of the caraway seeds and 1/2 of the apples on the bottom of the crock pot.
Brown (optional) the roast on top of the stove and place on top.

You can also put this together and start at lunch time by turning on high for 4 hours and it will be ready when you get home!

Roast may be started around six in the evening and be ready for the next day's evening meal.
Microwave water and bouillon cubes together until cubes have dissolved. Turn Crock pot onto high. Place pork roast into bottom of crock pot and add bouillon water over top.
Place peeled and cut carrots into the bouillon in the crock pot, cover and cook for 4 to 5 hours. 1/2 hour to 1 hour before you are ready to eat add the jar of apricot jelly over the pork roast, cover and continue to cook.
Serve with rolls and a salad.
The apricot flavoring makes the carrots more like a dessert than a vegetable.
In large crock-pot, cover roast with water. Cook all night or all day. After roast is done, put broth in kettle with potatoes that have been peeled and halved. Add 1/4 cup ketchup and cook until very tender. Pour back into crock-pot and add rest of ketchup.
