Martha'S Chili(Chili Cook Off Entry - 1994)

Brown ground beef with chopped onion.
Drain grease off (if any).
Add to beef, beans, tomato sauce and water.
Stir in chili powder, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Cook over low to medium heat for at least 1 hour (longer won't hurt).
Stir as needed.

Chili- Two Time Cook Off Winner.

Brown the ground beef adding the onion in a few minutes before it is completely done. Add ground beef into a stock pot and add the rest of the ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer for at least 45 minutes to make sure that all the flavors have incorporated.
If you like things on the hotter side, you can add more chili powder or maybe just a touch of cummin.
Top with a little shredded cheese if you prefer or serve over a hot dog for a great chili dog!

Young At Heart Chili(Chili Cook Off Entry - 1994)

Saute onion and green pepper for about 3 minutes; add ground chuck and brown.
Add tomato juice, tomato sauce, sugar and salt. Simmer for 2 hours (more or less).
Add chili beans and simmer 1 hour (more or less).
Add chili powder, if desired.

Chicken Chili(Chili Cook Off Entry - 1994)

Cut chicken into 1-inch pieces.
Cook chicken, onion, green pepper and garlic in hot oil in a Dutch oven until lightly browned.
Add other ingredients; cover, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.

Homemade Chili(Chili Cook Off Entry - 1994)

Brown the meat in hot fat; add pepper and onion and fry until brown.
Add tomato sauces, paprika, salt and water.
Cook meat until tender; drain beans and add to meat.
Bring to boil and thicken with flour, if desired.

Julie'S Chili(Chili Cook Off Entry - 1994)

Cook ground chuck with onion; drain.
Add remaining ingredients.
(For the chili powder, red pepper, black pepper and salt, add as much as your heart desires.)
Simmer.

Texas-Style Chili

In a large saucepan over med-high heat, cook beef, chili powder, cumin, salt and garlic powder until beef is browned, stirring to separate meat. Pour off fat. Add flour and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually stir in water and picante sauce. Cook until mixture boils and thickens, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low. Cook 15 minutes stirring occasionally. Serve with onions, cheese, cilantro and additional picante sauce.

Cook ground beef, onions and green peppers.
Add remaining ingredients.
Simmer all together.
Serve with grated cheese and onions on top.

Mom And Dad'S Chili(Chili Cook Off Entry - 1994)

Brown ground beef and drain.
Add to pot the remaining ingredients.
Simmer 2 hours and taste.
Add salt, pepper and chili powder, if desired.
Makes 1 gallon.

John'S Steak Chili(Chili Cook Off Entry - 1994)

Have your steaks cubed and cut up into small chunks.
Brown in a 4-quart Dutch oven; add spices and simmer 20 minutes.
Put celery and onion in food processor and shred.
Put in onion, celery, tomato paste and tomatoes.
Simmer for 30 minutes.
Add chili hot beans and simmer at least 30 minutes.
Stir often.
May add more chili powder to taste.

Greg'S Chili(Chili Cook Off Entry - 1994)

Brown meat with onion; do not drain.
In blender, blend 1 can of chili beans.
Add this and rest of ingredients.
Stir frequently on low heat for about 30 minutes.
Let simmer for another 20 to 30 minutes.

Buck'Em-Off-Chili Con Carne

beef broth, mushrooms including liquid, chili powder, ground cumin, sugar, Italian

Kick Off Chili

In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef and ground pork sausage with garlic and onion.
Add bell pepper and smoke sausage chunks.
Cook 5 to 10 minutes longer over medium heat. Reduce to low and drain fat.
Blend in spices and tomatoes.
Simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
Stir in kidney beans.
In a bowl, blend some of the bean liquid with cornmeal to consistency similar to pancake batter.
Mix with chili and simmer another 5 to 10 minutes.
Stir occasionally.
Serve with hot corn bread.

Super Healthy Turkey Chili

Brown the turkey in a large pot and drain any liquids.
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix until everything is equally distributed. Cover and cook on medium to high heat until onions & peppers are soft, mixing often.
Remove the lid and cook off excess remaining liquid (or use a slotted spoon to serve if you can't wait ;).
