Chili Cook Off(Chili Cook Off Entry - 1994) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. ground venison or beef
    1 lb. pork sausage
    2 cans tomato paste
    1 can refried beans
    1 can corn (creamed or whole)
    2 large cans tomatoes (whole)
    1 medium onion
    1 can chili beans
    2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. fresh chili powder, garlic powder, basil, salt, brown sugar, cumin and barbecue spice or to taste
Preparation
    Fry sausage and 1/2 of onion; add venison (beef).
    Drain off any fat.
    Mince onion and fry with meat.
    Add canned vegetables and water.
    Add spices.
    Simmer all day.
    Cool in refrigerator. Reheat and serve the next day.
    Recipe makes 1 gallon.
