Wax Beans

In a medium skillet saute onion until soft in butter.
Add wax beans, salt and pepper.
Heat on low until heated through, stirring often.

Wax Beans , Bacon And Celery

Boil wax beans and celery in salted water for about 25 minutes.
Drain off water.
Put butter and bacon in a frying pan and let cook until bacon starts to become crisp.
Mix in with a fork the beans, celery and pepper.
Let cook for about 2 minutes.
Then serve.

Sautéed Green And Wax Beans

In a large frying pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook carrot and shallot for 1 min, or until shallot is softened. Add beans and cook for 2 mins, or until heated through. Add 1/4 tsp lemon zest and 1 tbsp lemon juice. Season.

Mustard Beans

In saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, mustard, onion, salt and 1/3 cup water.
Bring mixture to boil, stirring until dissolved. Add drained beans.
Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
Allow to cool, cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
May substitute 1 pound cooked fresh wax beans.

Baked Beans

Combine all ingredients, except wax beans and green beans. Cook in oven at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Remove and sprinkle cornstarch over to thicken.
Return to oven for another 1/2 hour.
Add wax beans and green beans, about 1 hour before serving.

Mohney Reunion Beans

In a large skillet, brown sausage, onions, and celery.
Add mustard, brown sugar, tomato paste, and tomato soup - simmer about 1/2 hour.
Add drained ingredients (green beans, wax beans, and butter beans).
Add undrained ingredients (hot chili beans, pork and beans, and kidney beans).
Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or so.
(Or put in crock pot and cook on low until thoroughly heated.).

Add onion and celery; cook until tender.
Mix undiluted tomato soup, tomato paste and ketchup; simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
Spoon into large baking dish or roaster.
Add drained green beans, lima beans and wax beans.
Add undrained chili beans, pork and beans, packed brown sugar and prepared mustard.
Stir well.
Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Serves 24.

Bandito Beans

Place sausage in a skillet over medium heat, and cook until evenly brown. Drain grease, and transfer sausage to a slow cooker.
Into the slow cooker with the sausage, mix wax beans, green beans, lima beans, and black beans. Mix in baked beans with liquid and chili beans with liquid. Stir in the tomato paste, brown sugar, barbeque sauce, green bell pepper, onion, and fennel seed.
Cover slow cooker. Cook on Low at least 5 hours.

In large Dutch oven, brown beef over medium high heat, stirring to keep broken up. Drain excess fat.
Add onion and celery and cook until tender.
Stir in tomato soup, tomato paste, ketchup. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes.

Hot German Wax Bean Salad

Steam fresh beans in salted water until tender. Drain beans; **reserve** about 3/4 cup of the cooking liquid.
Cook bacon until crisp and set aside to drain on paper towel. Drain off all but 1 tablespoon of the bacon fat and saute onion until lightly browned.
Add bean liquid to pan and cook until liquid has reduced to 1/4 cup. Add next 4 ingredients and the cooked wax beans.
Heat through and season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh dill.

Cook wax beans as directions on the package.
Brown the onion in a small amount of vegetable oil over low heat.
Pour browned onions over the wax beans.
Add the bread crumbs and butter; mix thoroughly.
Pour into a casserole dish and bake for 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.

Party Beans

Brown the ground chuck. Spoon off the fat. Add onions and celery to meat and cook until tender. Stir in the soup, paste and catsup. Simmer for 15 minutes. Drain the green, lima and wax beans and combine with meat mixture. Do not drain the other beans, just add. Stir in brown sugar and mustard. Bake in a preheated 325\u00b0 oven for 1 hour or cook in crock-pot on low all day.

Scalloped Wax Beans

Saute onion in margarine over low heat until soft and yellow. In separate saucepan, heat beans.
Drain beans and add to onion. Mix in finely crushed saltines.

Creamed Green And Wax Beans

Saute onion in butter until tender.
Blend in flour and gradually add milk.
Cook, stirring constantly until mixture comes to boil.
Simmer 10 minutes.
Add salt and drained beans.
Pour in baking dish and top with cheese and corn flakes.

Stir well and put in kettle or roaster.

Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.

Fiesta Wax Beans

Drain beans, reserving 1/4 cup liquid.
Cook celery in butter until tender.
Add reserved bean liquid and bouillon cube.
Simmer until dissolved.
Stir in chili sauce and beans.
Heat through. Makes 4 servings.
